To mark the 79th Independence Day celebrations, the Tricolour was hoisted, at Police Headquarters, Jai Singh Road, New Delhi by Shri S.B.K. Singh, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Delhi. The CP Delhi, congratulated Delhi Police officers, staff and their families on the occasion of Independence Day and also praised the police personnel for successfully completing the challenging, incident free, Independence Day security arrangements.
Sh. S.B.K. Singh, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Delhi interacted with Praharis to motivate and inspire them for vigilant duty at two major events held at Multipurpose Hall, North Campus, University of Delhi and auditorium of Lotus Temple. To reinforce the unified citywide effort to engage and equip private security personnel in safeguarding Delhi during the festive period, interaction cum briefing programs were organised, today across all police districts of Delhi.
Sh. S. B. K Singh IPS, AGMUT 1988, took charge as Commissioner of Police, Delhi at PHQ on 31.07.2025. He has previously worked on several important positions in Delhi Police and also as DGP, Arunachal Pradesh, DGP, Mizoram. The officer has also served in Cabinet Sectt. RAW for more than 7 years. He is also a recipient of several prestigious awards including President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service, President's Police Medal for Meritorious Service, Silver Medal for E Governance for Lost Report App.
A Farewell Ceremonial Parade was held in the honour of Shri Sanjay Arora, Commissioner of Police, Delhi at Parade Ground, New Police Lines, Kingsway Camp, Delhi.
